Thefluegasanalyzerisagasanalysisinstrumentbasedonultravioletabsorptionspectroscopyanddifferentialopticalabsorptionspectroscopy(DOAS).Thelightbeamemittedbythelightsourceisconcentratedandcoupledintoanopticalfiber,transmittedthroughthefibertoanexternalhigh-temperaturemeasurementchamber.Afterpassingthroughthegascellandbeingabsorbedbythetargetgas,thelightistransmittedviaanotherfibertoaspectrometer.Insidethespectrometer,thelightisdispersedbyagrating,andthedispersedopticalsignalisconvertedintoanelectricalsignalbyanarraydetector,obtainingcontinuousabsorptionspectralinformationofthegas.Basedonthisspectralinformation,theinstrumentappliestheDOASalgorithmtocalculatetheconcentrationofthemeasuredgas.
